Licenses
Understanding your rights when you purchase from CraftPattern
Personal Use License
All patterns purchased from CraftPattern come with a personal use license by default. This allows you to:
- Create items for yourself, family, and friends
- Print the pattern for your personal reference
- Keep the digital files for your own use
Small Business License
Unless otherwise stated, you may also use our patterns for small-scale commercial purposes:
- Sell handmade items made from the pattern
- Use at craft fairs and local markets
- Sell through your own online shop or social media
Small business use is defined as producing up to 100 items per year from a single pattern.
Prohibited Uses
You may NOT:
- Resell or redistribute the original pattern files
- Share the pattern with others who have not purchased it
- Claim the designs as your own original work
- Use for mass production (over 100 items/year without extended license)
- Create derivative patterns for resale without permission
Extended Commercial License
For businesses planning to produce more than 100 items per year from a pattern, please contact us at support@craftpattern.com to discuss an extended commercial license.
Intellectual Property
All patterns, designs, and content on CraftPattern are the intellectual property of their respective creators. Purchasing a pattern grants you a license to use it — it does not transfer ownership of the design.
Third-Party Resources
Some products may include resources from third parties (fonts, clip art, etc.). These are licensed for use within the pattern only and may have their own restrictions. Please review any included documentation for specific third-party terms.
